What your team is really telling you — and how AI helps you hear it
Use your weekly check-ins to lead smarter — without the overwhelm.
You’ve started using weekly check-ins.
You’re seeing what people focus on, what drains them, and what they commit to.
But how do you make sense of it all?
How do you see the patterns — not just the updates?
That’s where AI becomes a quiet but powerful partner in your leadership.
🧠 What I do (in 10 minutes per week)
I take my team’s weekly check-ins and drop them into ChatGPT with a simple prompt like:
“Analyze these check-ins. What recurring themes, risks, and opportunities do you see? Summarize in bullets.”
Suddenly, what felt like 12 scattered updates becomes 3 sharp insights:
3 team members feel overloaded by external meetings
Energy levels dropped significantly this week
The same project came up as a blocker in 5 check-ins
Now I know where to focus.
No guessing. No overthinking.
Just signal and take action.
⚙️ Why this matters
As your team grows, your job shifts.
You go from solving problems → to seeing patterns
From answering questions → to asking better ones
From reacting → to responding with intent
And AI helps you do that without needing to become a data analyst.
Try this prompt:
“You are my leadership assistant. Analyze these weekly team check-ins and give me a summary of key themes, issues to address, and positive signals to reinforce.”
Then paste the check-ins.
Let it sort the signal from the noise.
Coming next:
Next week, I’ll share how to lead with powerful questions — the kind that spark ownership, insight, and momentum without you needing all the answers.
Until then:
Lead by listening. Lead with clarity. Lead with impact.
